Ok I will say it again, and I am a snotty self righteous elitist pig about omelets -- BUT DAMN THIS IS THE BEST OMELET I HAVE EVER HAD. And consistently fantastic. The huevos rancheros omelet (not the skillet) is the best I have ever had! Added fresh avocado and Serrano peppers and the homemade salsa is off the hook. Wow!!!
The waffle has FRESH blueberries not a compote!!!
The batter for the waffles tastes fresh and not out of a box.
I now have confirmation of yet another premium ingredient in this understated hidden gem, yes virginia the waffles are from scratch NOT a mix!!!
But to update this place fairly I have to say this ITS GETTING TOO CROWDED AND I AM WILLING TO USE VIOLENCE if I am faced with a seating issue. LOL.
Another long time customer noticed the same thing as we sat watching the place filled to capacity we turned to eat other and said "damn I havent seen this place so busy ever before" thats when I had the idea that long term customers may need to buy a VIP seating card soon LOL. -

This is my favorite brunch spot in Valparaiso.
They have my fav breakfast, corned beef hash omelette, and they also have delicious crunchy French toast, and the food is cheap for large portions.
I wish they were open a little later in the day, but there is a reason the place always seems to be full of customers! -

Small little local breakfast place which doesn't market itself for anything more than what it is. I took away a star because I was hoping the jalapeño in my omelet would be fresh they were the jar kind. Well priced husband and I ate for 20 bucks!

I enjoyed the food and the waiter was really friendly. It's a small place we almost drove past it. If you're ever in Valpo and you have a taste for a good breakfast stop by you'd be welcome with friendly faces and good food.

My wife loved her spinach, feta and tomato omelet with fruit (pictured). My ribeye (also pictured) was a bit tough and lacked flavor, and the potatoes and coffee weren't anything to write home about. Steak and eggs in most diners isn't that good, though. I should have stuck with eggs. Those were good.
Reviewers who said the service was good were right. The staff was great. They worked hard and were cheerful.
